Coverage and provenance

How the Radar is assembled.

The research pipeline is designed for breadth, traceability, and visible uncertainty. It does not treat all policy signals as law, and it does not silently rewrite records that cannot be verified.

Collect

Fetch legislative and regulatory records from official sources and established legislative data providers.

Classify

Apply a written relevance standard and shared taxonomy across jurisdictions and policy categories.

Explain

Generate English titles, summaries, and why-it-matters notes from the source record.

Verify

Retain primary-source links, date the release, and distinguish verified updates from unresolved source pages.

Publish

Compile the catalogue into static interactive radars that remain usable without a login.

Publish versioned data notes so changes in coverage and corrections can be inspected later.

Global coverage

The global radar covers 20 jurisdictions using the official legislative or regulatory sources appropriate to each system. It includes bills, adopted regulations, government initiatives, and other relevant policy instruments with 2026 activity. The interface labels stages and instrument types because a proposal, an adopted rule, and a government program have different legal significance.

US state coverage

The state radar sweeps all 50 states for AI and data-center policy. The current catalogue contains 1,202 records across 46 states. The August 11 refresh checked active tracked measures in states with current activity and preserved historical items from legislatures not presently in session. That is why the total catalogue remains larger than the set of bills that moved during the refresh window.

Machine assistance

Models help determine relevance, assign categories, translate source material, and draft summaries. Code enforces the shared schema and renders the interface. Human review focuses on source quality, legal stage, date conflicts, and high-value or anomalous items. Machine assistance improves scale. It does not make the output authoritative.

Limitations

Legislative sites are inconsistent. Some block automation, render dynamically, or change markup without warning. A release may therefore preserve an older verified record rather than overwrite it with an unverified result. Dates and status labels should always be checked against the official source before reliance.
